Dunbar Coaching Staff:

Sarah Bridenbaugh is in her 5th season as the head girls basketball coach at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. She holds a 92-37 (71%) record while at Dunbar. Prior to Dunbar, Sarah coached for one season at Lewis County High School in Weston, WV while also teaching math and coached one season at Buckhannon High School in Buckhannon, WV. She is a 2009 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College where she was a two-time All-American and the 2007-2008 Player of the Year in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Atheletic Conference. She is one of two athletes in WVWC history to score 2,000 points and was also a member of the 2008 & 2009 Academic All-American team. Sarah is a 2005 graduate of Morgan High School in McConnelsville, OH.  She  is currently a math teacher at Dunbar and in her spare time she enjoys cheering on the CATS with her husband Sy and spending time with her two dogs Jax & Rudy.

    

Head Coach

Nick Runyon is in his 6th season as an assistant girls basketball coach at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Nick is a 2005 graduate of the University of Kentucky. Coach Runyon has grown up a Bulldog as he is a 2000 graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar. In addition to playing high school basketball for Dunbar, he remembers attending every game for four years as his older sister was a cheerleader. He has been a part of the Dunbar family for more than a decade. Coach Runyon is an enthusiastic coach who is very proud of the Dunbar program, past and present. He is married to his wife Tiffany. 

Assistant Coach

Tyler Kissner is in his 3rd year as an assistant girls basketball coach at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Tyler is in his 6th year of teaching mathematics at Dunbar. Coach Kissner's experiences include being head manager at 8 time Division II National Champion Kentucky Wesleyan College under 3-time national coach of the year Ray Harper where his duties included scouting and running practices. He also played soccer for KWC. He is a 2004 graduate of University Heights Academy in KY where he was part of 6 class A State Championship teams. He has worked as a manager and assistant under former NBA players as well. Coach Kissner graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with his bachelors and Masters in Math Education.
